In this program, we would like to introduce the top five World Heritage sites of Vietnam. These are the achievements of Vietnamese people built and conserved. You will have a chance to relax and enjoy the quiet and fresh air when visits Hanoi capital by Cyclo around Old quarter. Or discover the legendary of Halong Bay when cruising around the Bay. Or taking photos the beauty scenery when passing Hai Van Pass on the way to Hoi An from Hue imperial citadel after riding Dragon boat along poetic Perfume River. The prosperous of Hoi An old town flourishing in 17th and 18th centuries where retains a sense of history more then other place that envelopes you as you explore the town or making a sunrise excursion to the extraordinary Cham ruins at My Son nearby Hoi An. Finally, you will feel the exciting atmosphere of the hustle and bustle of Vietnamese people doing their business when you visit the Southern areas.
Day 01: Arrival Hanoi (by air)
On arrival at Noi Bai International airport, pick up and transfer to down town for check-in hotel. Self explore Hanoi until time transfer to the local restaurant for welcome dinner at the Grill Fried Fish Restaurant – which has brought much fame to Doan family. Overnight in Hanoi (-/-/D).
Day 02: Hanoi – Quan Ho Folksong – Halong Bay (road)
Early arrival in Hanoi, pickup and transfer to Ha Long Bay, listed as an UNESCO World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty. Stop en-route at Quan Ho folksong village, Bac Ninh province, where you will be enjoyed the traditional folksongs performed by singers “ Brothers and Sisters”. When you are ready to sit on the mattress or chairs, they are in traditional costumes, go out and sing a song to welcome guests titled“ Inviting the tea” with the cups of tea in their hands. It’s really a good chance for you to discover traditional culture in the North of Vietnam. You will enjoy all the romantic songs, all romantic melodies sang by them with their traditional instruments. It makes you to forget all the trouble and tired, and like to go into an amazing world until they sing a song “please stay, don’t leave!” After show, we will continue our way to Halong bay. Upon arrival at Halong check in hotel and leisure. Free for dinner and overnight in Halong city (B/L/-).
Day 03: Halong – Hanoi (road & boat)
Rising up early we see the sunrise on Halong Bay then have breakfast. The picturesque Halong Bay has more than 2,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. A 5-hours boat trip will visit Thien Cung cave and Dau Go grotto, then continue to explore more of these wonders of creation. Seafood lunch on boat. After the cruise, return to Hanoi, stopover at Hai Duong for traditional taste of Green bean cake, rest of the day free at leisure for shopping and exploring Hanoi. Free for dinner and overnight in Hanoi (B/L/-).
Day 04: Hanoi – Quang Binh (road & rail)
Full day visit to Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum & Museum, the House on Stilt, One Pillar pagoda, Temple of Literature & West Lake. After lunch, continue visiting Ethnology museum, Hoan Kiem Lake, and take an hour Cyclo tour for visiting the old quarters. After dinner, free at leisure until time transfer to the Hanoi railway station for the night train E1 (23h00-07h31) to Quang Binh (soft sleeper/ 4 berths per cabin). Overnight on comfortable sleeping compartments (B/L/D).
Day 05: Quang Binh – Phong Nha River Cave – Hue (road & boat)
Early arrive Quang Binh, enjoy a 55 km drive to Son Trach commune with the beautiful scenery of cone-shaped limestone hills rising from the flat valleys. Upon arrival, take a boat cruise to explore the series of spectacular River Caves around the area including Phong Nha cave and Wind Cave, the UNESCO World’s Natural Heritage site in Vietnam and is the longest one with the length of 8km among the surroundings. After the journey ends, drive back to Hue for the dinner. Self explore and overnight in Hue (B/L/D).
Day 06: Hue sightseeing (boat & road)
A full day of sightseeing the Imperial capital of Hue, the UNESCO World’s Natural Heritage site in Vietnam. Take a dragon boat upstream to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue’s most reserved religious monument standing on the riverbank with its seven-storey tower, King Minh Mang tomb. Afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Emperors once ruled Vietnam, Dong Ba Market and conical hat weaving village by car. Free for dinner and overnight in Hue (B/L/-).
Day 07: Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (road)
Depart for Da Nang across the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean Clouds), passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. Visit Cham Museum, Five Marble mountains, Non Nuoc beach then proceed to Hoi An for hotel check-in. Hoi An is one of the UNESCO World’s Natural Heritage site in Vietnam. Free for dinner and overnight in Hoi An (B/L/-).
Day 08: Hoi An – My Son – Bang An – Da Nang (road)
Early depart from Hoi An to My Son, the UNESCO World’s Natural Heritage site in Vietnam. Around 50km South West of Da Nang, the site of the most important Cham intellectual and religious centre, dating back the late 4th century. My Son has only 20 monuments standing today. My Son is considered to be Champa’s counterpart to the grand cities of South-East Asia’s other Indian-influenced civilisations: Angkor (Cambodia), Bagan (Myanmar), Auythaya (Thailand) and Borobudur (Java). In the afternoon on the way back, visit the Bang An Cham ruins, another Champa octagonal tower dating the 10th century. Return to Da Nang for selfpaid dinner and overnight in Da Nang (B/L/-).
Day 09: Da Nang – Nha Trang (rail & road)
Self explore Da Nang until time transfer to Da Nang station for a day train (E1) to Nha Trang. The train will be leave Da Nang at 12h52 and arrive Nha Trang at 21h47 on the same day. Simple dinner box will be served on the train. On arrival Nha Trang, pick up and transfer to the downtown for hotel check-in. Overnight in Nha Trang (B/L/D).
Day 10: Nha Trang (road & boat)
After breakfast, driver to visit the Institute of Oceanography then take a boat trip to visit Tri Nguyen lake, Tam island and peaceful Bamboo island for lunch. Disembarkation and follow is Po Nagar Cham Tower, a sacred Hindu site dating back to the 2nd century AD. The town was built between the 7th and 12th centuries and is still used today as a place of pilgrimage for the Cham and Vietnamese Buddhists then visit Long Son Pagoda. The balance of the day is free at leisure for sun bathing as you wish on white sandy Nha Trang beach. Free for dinner and overnight in Nha Trang (B/L/-).
Day 11: Nha Trang – Dalat (road)
Leave Nha Trang for Dalat, a cool mountain resort. It’s lakes, waterfall, evergreen forest and gardens make Da Lat one of the most enjoyable places in Vietnam. On the way to Da Lat, stopover for visiting Po Klong Garai – Cham Tower. Upon arrival at Da Lat, check in hotel then visits the “Valley of love”, Xuan Huong Lake, Flower Garden and Linh Son Pagoda. Free for dinner and overnight in Da Lat (B/L/-).
Day 12: Da Lat – Saigon (road)
Depart Da Lat for Ho Chi Minh City – formerly known as Saigon, with stopover to visit Prenn waterfall. Short break at Bao Loc tea and coffee plantation. Upon arrival Saigon, transfer to hotel and refreshment. Free for dinner and overnight in Saigon (B/L/-).
Day 13: Saigon sightseeing (road)
After breakfast at the hotel, take a full day city tour of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals. The tour starts with a visit to the Former Presidential Palace, History Museum, Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral. This afternoon, visit Thien Hau Pagoda, Chinatown and Ben Thanh market and a lacquer ware workshop. The day finishes with a visit to the restored city theatre and a stroll down Dong Khoi Street, the fashionable Rue Catinat of old Saigon. Selfpaid dinner and overnight in Saigon (B/L/-).
Day 14: Saigon – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho (road & boat)
Leave your hotel for a 3-hour drive to Cai Be with stop en-route at Bonsai garden for a tea break. Upon arrival, board a motorized boat to visit the popcorn cake, rice paper making family before visiting the floating market of Cai Be. Then continue by boat towards Vinh Long province to see the diverse fish traps in order to learn a kind of lazy fishing. After cruising along small shady canals, we step ashore and take a chance to watch a typical and interesting music show of the Mekong cultural life at local house. After that, take a short visit on foot for about half an hour to enjoy the rural peaceful atmosphere of the countryside life, on the way we can also stop en route to learn more about tropical fruit trees, and 2 honey bee farms. Back to our boat at 02:00 p.m towards Vinh Long. Get back to our car and continue to Can Tho. Upon arrival, leisure at your own. Dinner and overnight in Can Tho (B/L/D).
Day 15: Can Tho – Saigon (boat & road)
Morning: Boarding the Vo Lai boat for a 3 hrs cruise to Cai Rang and Phong Dien, 2 big floating markets with stops at a Bun Tau noodle factory and a short trek before arriving at a rice husking mill. You can even try passing one of the many fragile monkey bridges along the canals. Leave our boat at a dock opposite Cai Rang floating market. Hop into our car for a drive to Phung Hiep biggest floating market for taking photos of this lively activity. Back to Saigon in the afternoon, free for self paid dinner and overnight in Saigon (B/L/-).
Day 16: Departure (by air)
Free at leisure for last minute shopping until transfer to Tan Son Nhat In’t airport for departure (B/-/-).
