Knowledge update for local tour guides in Vietnam

The Department of Tourism opened a knowledge update course for domestic and international tour guides in 2022. There were 30 students in the class who were domestic tour guides and tour guides. International tour guide issued by the Department of Tourism.

From March 29 to 31, the trainees will be updated with knowledge about the world tourism situation, trends and prospects; tourism development in Vietnam and Quang Binh; tourism promotion and advertising activities; the economic, political and social situation of the country and the locality; system of organization of state management of tourism; information on new tourism products, mainstream tourism products; measures to ensure security and safety for visitors; practice of professional guidance at tourist attractions in the city of Dong Hoi, Quang Binh province, Vietnam.

The training course aims to strengthen the state management of guiding activities, ensuring that the change of tourist guide card is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the law. Especially, after two years of being affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, Quang Binh’s tourism industry has prospered. The reopening of tourism requires the training of human resources to be more focused.
