Itinerary:
Day 01 Yangon Arrival
Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Welcome by MTE’s Guide and transfer to hotel. Leisure at hotel. Afternoon visit National Museum – the interesting collection of Myanmar royal regalia. Special evening visit Shwedagon Pagoda – the great golden stupa in the bell shape rising 98 meters above its base and gilded with 60 tons of pure gold by devout Buddhists over centuries. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Yangon – Thanlyin – Yangon (B)
B’fast at hotel. Leave for an excursion tour to Thanlyin – once a major port in Yangon and also known as Syriam. Continue drive to Kyauk Tan; visit Yele Pagoda (Island Pagoda) set on a tiny land in the river and explore two further pagodas and riverside market where one can buy the dry fish, prawns and other kinds of marine products. On the way back to Thanlyin(Syriam), visit Kyaikkhauk Pagoda where the hair relic of Lord Buddha was enshrined. Visit old Portuguese Church near the Syriam bridge. On arrive back to Yangon, shopping for the beloved ones at home or just for you at Bogyoke Market (formerly known as Scott Market) – a shopping mall with souvenir shops to bargain. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 Yangon (B)
B’fast at hotel. Morning sightseeing start with Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image – (a colossal reclining Buddha) – demolished in 1957 and rebuilt to this structure in 1966; Nagar Glass Blowing Factory where you can witness the art of creating glassware by very old fashioned practice and Gems Mart – best deals in world famous Myanmar Rubies, Jades as well as a wide range of color stones. Afternoon sighstseeing includes the old colonial style city center featuring Sule Pagoda – a spiritual place right in the heart of the city; Mahabandoola Park & Independent Monument. Evening take a walk to China Town where you can buy a wide variety of goods from street vendors. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 Yangon Departure (B)
B’fast at hotel. Transfer to airport for flight back home or elsewhere.
